Frequently asked questions

What is the return policy?

We offer 14 days from delivery to request an exchange for items that are defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase. Damaged or incorrect orders are always our responsibility — message us within 7 days of delivery and we’ll make it right.

Are any purchases final sale?

For hygiene reasons, the following items are final sale once opened: lanolin creams, lanolin soaps, and wool nursing pads. Unopened items in their original retail packaging may be eligible for exchange only if they are defective, damaged, or incorrect and reported within 14 days of delivery. Nursing pillows may also be eligible for exchange within 14 days if they arrive damaged or defective and remain in resalable condition.

When will I get my order?

Orders placed before 1 p.m. PT ship the same business day from Vancouver. Delivery times: 1–2 business days within BC, 2–4 business days to Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, 3–5 business days to Ontario and Quebec, and 4–7 business days to the Maritimes and the territories. You’ll get a tracking number by email the moment your label prints.

Where are your products manufactured?

My Brest Friend nursing pillows are designed in the United States and manufactured to U.S. retail standards. LANACare wool nursing pads, soap and lanolin cream are made in Denmark from certified organic merino wool and pharmaceutical-grade lanolin. Both brands hold the certifications you’d expect for products that touch your skin and your baby’s — and because we’re the authorized Canadian retailer, every unit on our shelves comes through the manufacturer’s official supply chain. No grey market, no parallel imports.

How much does shipping cost?

Free Canada-wide tracked shipping on orders over $100. Orders under $100 ship at a flat rate of $9.99. We don’t ship outside Canada at this time.

What is LANACare and how do I wash wool nursing items?

LANACare is a Danish maker of merino wool nursing pads and lanolin care, used by midwives and lactation consultants across Northern Europe for over 30 years. Wool naturally self-cleans and resists bacteria — most days, simply airing your nursing pads is enough. When they need a wash, hand-wash gently in lukewarm water using LANACare’s lanolin-replenishing soap (which restores the wool’s natural lanolin instead of stripping it), then lay flat to dry. Avoid hot water, regular detergent, and the dryer — all three damage merino fibers and shorten the lifespan.
